231 Responsible Gaming — Play Mindfully, Stay Well
Play at 231, but know your limits. This page has everything you need to game safely and responsibly.
The well-being of every 231 member is our responsibility.
Our Commitment to Responsible Gaming
231 believes gaming is entertainment, not a source of income. We want every member to enjoy playing — but never let it become a burden on their life.
Our responsible gaming policy is built on three core principles: Awareness, Control, and Support. At 231, we provide the tools and information you need to stay informed and in charge of your gaming habits.
If you ever feel that gaming is affecting your daily life, relationships, or finances, take a break immediately and seek support.
Our Three Core Principles
- Awareness: We help you recognize the signs of risk.
- Controls: Tools to set limits on your time and spending.
- Support: Guidance on seeking professional help.
What are the warning signs to watch out for?
Problem gaming has some clear warning signs. If you notice any of these in yourself or someone you know, it's time to take action:
Betting beyond your means, borrowing money to play, or spending money set aside for essential expenses.
Playing for hours on end, letting gaming eat into family time or work, and being unable to stop.
Unusual anger or depression after a loss, or an overwhelming urge to keep playing after a win.
Withdrawing from family and friends, or feeling the need to keep your gaming a secret.
Chasing losses by placing bigger bets, which often leads to even greater losses.
Neglecting sleep, food, or personal health, with gaming disrupting everyday life.
What tools are available to manage your time and budget?
Budgeting Tips
Set your limits before you start playing — decide the maximum amount (in BDT) you're willing to spend this week or month. Stick to that limit, whether you're winning or losing.
- Only bet money you can afford to lose.
- Never play with borrowed money or your savings.
- Keep track of every transaction.
- Once you hit your limit for the day, stop.
Time Management Tips
Decide how long you'll play before you sit down. When that time is up, walk away — win or lose.
- Don't let gaming eat into time for family, work, or study.
- Avoid playing late at night — poor decisions come with a tired mind.
- Make time for hobbies and activities outside of gaming.
- Take a set break every day.
What Self-Control Tools Are Available on 231?
Set Deposit Limits
You can set your own daily, weekly, or monthly deposit limits. Once you reach that limit, the system will automatically stop you. Lowering a limit takes effect immediately; raising one takes a little longer — that's intentional.
Breaks & Time-Outs
If you feel like you need a break, you can pause your account for a set period — anywhere from 24 hours to several weeks. During the break, no transactions or betting will be possible.
Self-Exclusion Option
If you feel that gaming is no longer good for you, you can request a long-term or permanent self-exclusion. Your account will be deactivated and you won't receive any marketing communications during this period. Email [email protected] to set this up.
Opt Out of Promotions
You can opt out of promotional emails and notifications at any time — through your profile settings or by contacting support. We will never push marketing messages on you.
How Do We Protect Minors?
231 strictly prohibits anyone under 18 from using the platform. Age verification is mandatory at registration, and suspicious accounts are investigated.
A note to parents and guardians — use parental control software on your devices and keep your login credentials away from your children.
- Keep safe search enabled on your browser.
- Use parental controls to block access to gaming websites.
- Talk to your children about safe and mindful online habits.
Life Balance & Professional Support
Gaming should be a small part of your life, not your whole life. Time with family, focus on work or studies, and taking care of your physical health should always come first.
If you ever feel like you can't manage on your own, don't hesitate to seek professional support. Talking to a mental health professional or counsellor is a sign of strength, not weakness.
